Matthew A. Tabor

Matthew is a passionate individual giving wholly to causes and organizations that require his involvement. A devoted family man, Matthew learned the lessons of life balance and self-sacrifice early. These lessons started in law school where he earned his degree as a part-time student while balancing the demands of his studies with the demands of being a husband, father, and community member.

Matthew brings a background of professional sales and customer service stemming from his involvement in the non-profit, residential construction, and trucking and transportation sectors prior to returning to school for his law degree. This “real world” experience provides Matthew insight into the operations of various business types allowing him to anticipate the unique needs of business owners in estate planning and business succession. Additionally, with the ability to function in a wide range of roles across the firm, Matthew brings a unique lens and set of abilities to the considerations producing high quality and comprehensive estate and business plans.

I chose M&B because of the firm’s stance toward life balance as well as quality of work. I found it to be a unique combination in the Portland legal community for a firm to strive to be a top performer in the local legal market without requiring unbalanced work weeks. M&B gave me the freedom to pursue my professional goals while exposing me to a diverse set of challenges that encouraged my growth both professionally and personally. M&B’s personalized interest in me provided the context for me to help shape the way I add value to the firm while continually challenging me to become better.
