Taking Care of Others
Caring for a loved one can be incredibly hard.
There are some steps that you can take now before they become incapaciated, and then other steps that you may have to take later.
Before your loved-one loses capacity you can:
- Be prepared with a power of attorney.
- Encourage them to set up a Living Trust so that you can better help manage their finances.
If your child has special needs, then:
- you likely will want to create a Supplemental Needs Trust for that child within your estate plan.
- You may also consider seeking a guardianship/conservatorship.
We care about your ability to care for your loved ones and are here to help you.
